About Me:
I enjoy writing Rent fan fiction, though I may occasionally deviate to other shows. I love using all three tenses and I have a rather dreamy writing style, meant to evoke more feelings than actions. I started out writing poetry and my stories really reflect that. You can see my poetry in Then Forever, Musings in Mourning, Sad Is The Moon and The Dusty Stage.
I usually write fiction for musicals- it's my favourite type of entertainment, and something I can really connect to. My theatre idols are Frank Wedekind, Stephen Sondheim, Michael Bennett, Tony Kushner, Jonathan Larson and Duncan Sheik. They are gods, if you ask me, and all my writing is devoted to their amazing work. Accordingly, my favourite shows are Spring Awakening, Sweeney Todd, A Chorus Line, Angels in America and Rent. I'm also very much in love with Grey Gardens.
I'd like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read my stories and review them. I generally don't respond to reviews, but I do read them all, and I appreciate them. I also try not to put authors' notes at the top of my stories; I find it takes you out of the characters' world and puts you into the author's, and I prefer for the story to stand alone, in and of itself. Because of that, I've taken the time now to fill out my profile so you can learn a bit more about me.
What I'm Working On Now:
I've fallen into the bare: a pop opera fandom kicking and screaming with resistance. Too bad. I just might write a some bare. If you're lucky.
You all know that Rent is closingin September. I wrote Confessions of a Pretty Boy Frontman to celebrate the fandom and the story. I will continue writing Rent stories, though. Please read Confessions and enjoy this wonderful fandom. Consider the story my going away present to Rent.
