Author has written 87 stories for Digimon, Sailor Moon, hack/SIGN, Pretender, Zoids, Batman Beyond, Harry Potter, Fullmetal Alchemist, Naruto, Kingdom Hearts, Avatar: Last Airbender, xxxHOLiC, Justice League, Disney, Power Rangers, W.I.T.C.H., American Dragon: Jake Long, and Ben 10. My manifesto: My characters do not necessarily reflect me. They have their own beliefs and prejudices that do not necessarily reflect mine. Just because Joe Shmoe thinks Dirk is a jerk, it doesn't mean I do. Seme/uke stereotypes annoy me to no end. When I write relationships, all of the people involved view each other as equals, no matter their gender or their roles in bed. Furthermore, gender stereotypes also bug the hell out of me. Just because a man is sensitive and a woman is tough, it doesn't mean he's a wimp or she needs someone to "thaw her." It is simply the way they are. Conversely, just because a woman is sensitive and a man is tough, it does not make her weak and him "strong" or anything of the sort. They are who they are, and their strengths will shine through anyway. More often than not, I will write gen as opposed to romance. While romantic love is a typical part of life, friendship is also extremely important and often overlooked. I like when a piece makes me think and figure out the ways in which that particular fanon works. Thus, I try to leave some room for interpretation. Sometimes it's enough to inspire someone else to write. I believe that a secret to good writing is to ensure that things happen because of the characters, and things never happen to them. I have read far too many pieces--professional and fan--that merely paint their characters as victims who never learn to try and deal with or fight against the circumstances around them. A character must be dynamic and round, able to change and full of different and sometimes contradictory qualities that make them feel more human. On a related note, I will never ever bash a character. If someone is portrayed in a negative light, it is often due to another character's self-serving bias or something to that effect. That said, visit my C2: Overlooked and Underloved. I try to pick up as many good fics and romances for characters in many fandoms who are bashed, under-used, or just plain minor players in the canon itself. Following suit with Raven Nightstrider, I have my own LiveJournal as a progress page for my fics. It also houses unposted fics and crackfics that otherwise might never see the light of day. However, there may be spoilers in some of these, such as the Yang-Yin pages Because I don't allow anonymous reviews on FFN, if you want to leave an anonymous review, please do it there.
