-An Artist of Words-

-Favorite genres to write:
-Angst. Angst is my best thing to write. I’m really good at any type of angst story. I haven’t encountered a situation yet in angst I couldn’t do. Though that could be a little bit too over-confident; I’m sure there’s some things that I haven't tried that I couldn’t do.
­-Drama Now, I haven’t quite figured out what exactly this genre specifically means. I mean, every story has drama in it. If it didn’t have a bit of it then there wouldn’t BE a story! It’s basic writing 101, there always has to be some kind of issue going on. But... i've done a couple of stories with this genre before so... i gues i can.
-Romance. There are some types of romance that I can and cannot do. Yuri is currently off the list completely simply because I’ve never read any of it and thus can’t do it. Hentai I can only do If it involves an OC. Yaoi I can do, but only some pairings. Overall though, I enjoy romance. There’s a lot of emotion in that genre that I enjoy delving into.

-Least favorite genres (or: genres I can’t do as of now):
-Humor. I have nothing wrong with humor stories, really (except crack-fics. I just don’t think there’s any point to them.) I just have to be in the right mindset to do humor, and even then I can’t do them on command. Humor is a place that I haven’t been able to reach yet.
-Horror.­ I never understood this genre. I honestly don’t believe that there’s any way to put horror into a story. Violence is not horror. It’s just… well… violence and gore. Because I haven’t found a way to put true horror into text I can’t do it. Though, it would be interesting to put angst in with it.
-Religious. To be quite honest I love religion as a whole. I think there is a power in some churches and houses of worship that is found in no other place. I am fascinated by this hypnotic power that it’s had over so many people. But I was never brought up around religion, so I see it from the outside and don’t know the things that go on inside of it. So, because of that I can’t write it.

-Pairings I support:
Death Note:
-MelloxNear. This is currently my favorite pairing even though i have no idea how i got onto it. I started at MattxNear for about a day, then somehow moved directly to MelloxNear without passing through the MelloxMatt phase. I won't go into my opinions on that at the moment. As for this pairing, i love it because there is serious competeition between the two to the point where it could be argued that Mello has an obsession with Near. There are a lot of spots (well... mainly 2) that can be used to write fics from, unlike other pairings where the timeline is very strict. I love both Mello and Near as characters and I think they work quite well together as both a couple and as a team because, let's be honest, analyze their characters and one has what the other lacks. They're two pieces to a whole puzzle. I love this about them. I also like how, to an extent, the entire pairing is unbelievable and so one must work harder to make it more believable.
-LxLight. I've come to realize how overdone this pairing is, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the two are almost made for each other. L is just socially-retarded enough to be cute and Light... well... he just works with him. Their minds are nearly equals and yet they seem to compete over everything. I like that part about the pairing and it interests me, but it can be very hard to be original with that pairing. Also, another reason why I support this pairing is because... come on... let's be honest, they were handcuffed together for HOW LONG? Yeah... they definately experimented.
-LightxMisa. Many people would argue that Misa is stupid and pointless and what not but... in the scheme of things, she actually was a beneficial character and actually did do more for the series than people would like to give her credit for. I mean, she even did more than that damn Matt and people still like him better! How does that make any sense? Anyway... the series says this works in one way or another so i support it. I would never write this kind of hentai, or this pairing... but that doesn't mean i haven't read some fics of it, and betad a couple, and what not.

Yu Yu Hakusho:
-HieixKurama: These two are made for each other. They appear to know each other inside and out and spend quite a bit of time together... either during the series or before it. Either way, the two are both great friends and great lovers. It only makese sense that way. It appears Hiei finds some comfort within Kurama, and vise versa, which only supports my claim. I'd go on but as my obsession has moved to another series, I've lost all of my carefully gathered facts... More to be added later, I'm sure.

Pairings I do not support:
Death Note:
-MelloxMatt: Anyone who knows me knows that i absolutely despise Matt. He is a pointless character with no personality at all. For all we know, the FF authors who do him could have completely destroyed the original idea for him. I don't care what people say about 'he was made FOR Mello', he was made to stupidly die for Mello so Mello could make sure Near wins. So in the end Matt meant little to him. I do support that Matt is his best friend, but that's where it stops for me. I think that Mello would only see him as a friend and that's it, never anything more. And, for the record, i will never write a MelloxMatt fic for the reason, as i've told a couple people, that I'd end up killing Matt for my own sick pleasure.

-Writing style:
I am a ‘tell’ type of writer, instead of the ‘show’ writer. (Or in other words, my writing tells people what’s going on rather than showing it.) I am capable of putting in enough detail into my text to show you the images going through my head, but I’m not one of those people who makes three pages of just detail.
When it comes to characters I’m very good at making normally unemotional characters have just enough feeling to get by and still keeping them stoic. (Near is my ideal character, let’s put it that way.) Characters such as Mello are harder to do, since he’s unpredictable and contradicting at the same time. But, I’ve never encountered a character that was impossible to re-create on here. I believe that it’s more fun to use someone else’s character anyway. I mean, anyone can make a character and give them a back story, but it’s completely different when you have to take someone else’s idea and use them in your own ideas while still keeping them the way they were intended to be. Doing that is a bit more challenging, and thus more fun. Well… in my opinion anyway.

-Passion:
I understand that there are people who aspire to be writers on this site and I respect them for that choice. But that’s not what I aspire to do, not anywhere close to it. Writing is a passion of mine that seems to have been with me for as long as I can remember. Writing is what I do, all the time and in all situations. When my Dad went to Iraq both times, I wrote. When I meet people that I find I like, I write. When my best friend kill himself, I wrote. Even when I don’t have paper in front of me, or a computer, I’ll write in my head. What I’m saying is that, just because I don’t want to do this for an occupation (though I do want to publish my book) it is so much more than a hobby to me. There are no words to describe, or explain, why I do what I do. It all just somehow shows in my work.

Yaoi all the way!

No. But i will when i get Mello's cosplay outfit at Christmas!

All 7 of the DVDs currently released. All 14 books (this includes the LABB murder case one). 2 of the action figures that came with the DVDs (Misa and Mello). An L plush doll. 2 Necklaces. 4 keychains. 1 shirt. 1 patch. 2 L buttons. 6 of the character magnets. 1 deck of Death Note cards. And more pictures of all of them then you could ever even hope to obtain. (I think i'm currently just over 1,500)

6. Have you ever felt that you were destined to be with a Death Note character?
Yes! Either Mello or Near. Though with Mello we would clash a lot because of our identicle personalities.

7. Near/Matt or Mello/Near?
MelloxNear. I strongly dislike Matt... he's pointless to me. I don't care who argues that he was made FOR Mello, Mello used Matt to get the police off of him so he could get Takada and, to make a long story short, lose so that Near could win. Which means he was thinking of NEAR, not Matt! MelloxNear all the way! Besides, it's much more of an interesting pairing, considering their relationship.

8. Light/Misa or L/Misa?
Neither. I dislike them both.

9. Did you think Matt's death was fair?
Well i don't like Matt at all and i think he's stupid for aggreeing to a suicide mission to begin with. So, yes, i do believe that it was fair since it's only his own fault.

10. Why did you think Mello helped Near in the end?
I think he realized that he could never beat Near and thus decided that that was the closest thing that he could do to get close to a victory. I think that somewhere he knew that because he could never beat him he did what he could to help him win because he knew that that was how it was supposed to be. Though, this is the more logical explanation than simply saying: because he loved him and wanted him to win like he should. Which kind of makes sense too if you think about it the right way.

11. Do you support Kira's theory in making the world better by using the Death Note and killing off the bad people?
To an extent. I think Light went about it wrong. Though then you have to try and clearly define who is GOOD and who is BAD, and that's all opinionated so... i don't think something like that could ever work. Though Light did have a good attempt at it.

Mello and Near

13. Are you Pro-Kira or Anti-Kira?
Both. Light went about it wrong, and even though the idea could never work... it was still a good theory.

14. Have you seen all Death Note episodes so far?
No. Not because i cant, but because i'm one of those traditional, old-fasioned, kind of fans that actually waits the whole two months for the DVDs to come out so i can buy them. The only time i didn't do this was with the first four episodes of the second arc, which i bought for my iPod. Oh! And i did it for the last episode too because my friend was like, "Oh, the worst episode of DN is on." So i flipped to it, registered it as the last episode and just couldn't turn away no matter how hard i tried...

15. Have you read all the chapters so far?
I have all the books, of course i've read all the chapters. Including chapter 109 that's not included!!

16. Do you believe Misa has ADD?
No. I think she just has a bubbly personality. You know what i'd like to know? Who got people started on that?? What exactly did she do that made people go, "omg she has ADD." If she did anything i've certainly missed it thus far. I mean, people like Matt more than her and he was only there for like 2 chapters! How does that work, she had a bigger part! Matt's only reason for being was to get killed!

17. Sub or dub?
Both. It depends who i'm listening to. For example: For Mello and Near: sub. For everyone else: either.

18. Pro-Misa or Anti-Misa?
Both. She's not a bad character despite what people say but i think her mistake was falling for Light so easily.

19. Lidner = Near's side or Mello's?
I think she's playing both sides so she can finally claim sides of whoever ends up winning. Needless to say, i dislike her too.

20. Do you even know who BB is?
Of course. Beyond Birthday is one of the first people brought to Wammy's, after A (who killed himself) in the hopes that he would be a copy of L. Inevitably, BB decided he didn't want to be a mere copy of L, but instead wanted to be better than him. This led him to murder and crime, which finally brought him to his death. Also, he was born with shinigami eyes. I could go into MUCH more detail but in order to keep the impression that i dislike him as well... i'll hold to my silence. ... How the hell did they pick Jelly for him too??

... Mello... though... come to think of it Near would make a cute girl too... especially in a dress.

None. If you make them OOC then it destroys their character.

Of course! I'll read anything once. This is evident in the fact that i've read: MisaxLight, MelloxLinder, MelloxMatt (I had to see...), NearxGevanni. NearxRester. Melloxthat mafia guy that i can't think of the name of, LightxNear, and even LightxRyuk.

26. Do you write Death Note fanfics?
Of course! I think i'm at about 8 DN fics and i've got a couple more planned as of now!

Yes!! I've found that when thinking like Near and rationalizing everything as he does, i score better on my tests. And as far as Mello goes, when i think like him i'm able to think of clever retorts quicker.

Yes!!

Of course! Mainly to see which character from the series it would attract first.

37. Do you wish the series had ended differently?
Yes! I wish that Mello and Near's relationship would have ended differantly! I'm not necessarily saying i wish they would have fallen for each other (though that would have been a nice touch) but I think if they had swallowed their pride and just worked together things would have turned out quite interesting. I would have liked to see the conversations that would have ensued. Plus, that Yellow-box, place thing at the end (the name escapes me) would have been a lot more interesting with Mello there. I could see Mello being like: "Shut up Light!! You're not God!" .Shoots Light. Near: "Mello... I wasn't done talking to him."

38. Do you draw Death Note fanart? If so, count how many there are in your gallery?
No but i trace some of the pics i have of them. If you count those then i have about ten, if not just a couple less.

39. Is Mello still sexy even though half of his face is scarred by burns?
Yes! I can't really explain why, he just still was. Plus, his hair got better after the explosion!

Of course not! That would throw off the entire series! Normally, i refuse to read stuff with OCs in it.

-If you talk to yourself.
