Current Obession: Naruto

Things that bug me in (Naruto)stories(because Naruto is my new obsession and goddamn, there are a lot of kinds of fanfics that bug the hell out of me):

The list grows bigger every day.

1. Mary-sues. Really, I don't care if she's Naruto's cousin who has the demon rabbit sealed into her kneecap, and she killed Orochimaru and Itachi at the same time(or fell in love with him, they're practically the same thing.) Or if healed all the hurt Sasuke has ever gone through, or helped the village to understand that Naruto is Naruto and not a demon, all marysues are bitches.

2. "Strong!Naruto" or "Smart!Naruto" stories. First of all: Naruto is stong in the series. And sorry fans, he had to work for his strength just like everyone else. It's called character devlopement. Second of all, Naruto being smart is against his character. And besides, part of the Naruto-message(the 'theme', if you will) is the idea that even if you're not perfect or the best or don't have everything layed out, you can still become the best you can be. Now excuse me while I go put a bullet in my brain for coming up the with the cheesiest line ever.

3. And that brings me to: Stories where Naruto is weak. I'm talking the ones where he's fighting a group of ninjas and can't even land a punch. I mean, c'mon.

4. Those 'Sasuke-hold-me' stories. Okay, they're a guilty pleasure. And they're are a few that are really good and if it's understandable why he's like that they can be really good.(aka, author went AU) but after wading through page after page, I have to read a hardcore Narusasu story to calm me down.

5. Stories where Naruto's perfectly innocent about everything having to do with sex ever. Ya, he's naive about some shit, but HELLO! Have you seen the show? He created Sexy-no-justsu, when he was 12. He's not that innocent.

6. Stories where the main characters participate in a game/reality t.v. show or a pshycology session. There are just too many of them out there and the humor usually sucks.

7. Self-insertions. Oh God. No.

8. Stories that use chat-speak and they aren't making fun of something.(lykeOMG wat r we on? AIM?)

9. What? Naruto was female all along stories!? Ya. Hate those. It's nothing against the writers and I don't have a problem with it characterization wise-I just havn't found one I like. And probably never will, cause I don't like the premise.

10. Dark!Naruto stories. Dude. That's just screwed up. Why can't you be powerful and not a whiny little bitch who wants to kill people because they looked at them funny or because their last name is Uchiha?

11. Itachi is a good guy stories. Like. Really. C'mon. You think just because Itachi apologizes Sasuke(or anyone, for that matter.) is just going to accept him with open arms. Hello?! He slaughted his family. That's bad. There are so many Itachi turns-good fics, but I hardly ever see any Orochimaru-is-redeemed fics. I mean sure, Orochimaru is a creepy child molester who killed the 3rd, but at least he didn't kill his family. He wasn't even bad enough to stay part of the Akatsuki, but you never see any fics where he's welcomed back to Konoha with open arms.

Note: What started off as a one-shot has blossomed(pun intented) into a series of oneshots. I got hit by the plotbunny late one night and it was for a Sakura fic and low and behold, I wasn't going to post two oneshots seperatly when I could post them together. And thus, I now have a oneshot series titled "Sakura" as they will all be from her point of veiw. You may be thinking "Wow, the Sakura in the first oneshot is completely different from the Sakura in the first!" That's because she is. I'm not continueing the personality of the Sakura of the one who showed up in the first drabble and probably not the one who showed up in the second. Why? Because the first Sakura was so 2deminsial it was limiting. So I didn't want to. The oneshots have no relation to each other, other then the fact that they are all told from Sakura's point of view and are about Naruto characters.(I don't do crossover drabbles. What's the point?)

Note: I really really wish that people wouldn't leave reveiws only to talk about how much they hate or like a certain aspcept of the original tv show/book/movie etc. It just kills me when someone leaves a review and the ONLY thing they write is this: "Sasuke just totally pwns Naruto. XD." And I'm thinking 'The hell? Why did you just tell me that? I couldn't care less.

Seriously. People who do that are almost(but not quite) as bad as the people who go around LOOKING for yaoi stories(and you know they're looking for them, cause there's no way that THAT many authors just leave that out of the summary or warnings section. If people actually read authors notes...) just so they can tell the writer how gross they think that is and how much they think that writer is disgusting. I mean, come on.

And the worst part about it? That asshole who left the reveiw made it anonymous so I can't even mention them back and be like "Ya, okay, now what did you think about MY story?"
