Chapter 3

Emmett Point of View

It has been a week since Bella went missing and we have already lost hope of finding her alive because blood and fragments of her dress was found near where she was taken from us. Earlier today, we have learned that the Newton family has been murdered in their house. An officer said that there was not a single drop of blood or bruise on they bodies. He also said that the bodies were looked like they had time decompose so they must have been killed about a day or two before Bella’s abduction. Everyone believes that Michael Newton is the killer and now they are trying to hunt him down.

Currently, Edward, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, and I are all sitting in the Hale’s living room staring at either the floor or ceiling in silence. After about thirty minutes of staring, Edward broke the silence.

“We can’t go on like this, guys. Bella wouldn’t want us to. She would want us to be happy and moving on with our lives.” he said

Ignoring his suggestion, we all continued to mope around, but wonder how he could be the one to say that so soon when he’s the one who lost his best friend, bride, and soul mate. Noticing our lack of response, he walked away. Twenty minutes later, he came back carrying the binder that is filled everyone’s wedding plans. With a look of determination and sadness he began to talk.

“You all are getting married in three weeks. So can’t you try to be a bit joyful.” he said

“How can you say that, Edward? Don’t you miss Bella too?” cried Alice

“Of course, I miss her! It’s just because I know that if she saw us like this she will feel awful and I never want her to feel that way. I just want her to be happy wherever she is even though it’s going to cause me tremendous pain I have to go on way with my life and be happy for Bella.” he answered

We all looked at him, knowing what he had said is true, and wiped our tears away.

“I guess you are right Edward. We should continue our lives like Bella would had wanted us to.” said Rosalie

“Yeah.” we all said in unison

“Well then, I guess we should finish planning our weddings then.” Alice said while trying to put on a smile

Six Months Later

As I am sitting underneath our favorite tree in the forest all alone, I started to think about all the things that has happen after Bella’s disappearance. I remember when Edward left for Chicago, Illinois, saying that he needed to start a new life, after the weddings. Well, he never really started his new life because he died of the Spanish Influenza only three weeks after having arrived there.

Then three months later, Jasper was drafted to fight in the war and went missing. He was thought to have been killed so they never searched for him. Alice didn’t take the news so well. She claimed that she was still able to see and hear him. So her parents have put her in an asylum. She soon escaped from there and her blood was found smeared all over a tree nearby. Then just last month my Rosalie was raped and killed, while in France without me.

While being distracted with my sad memories, I didn’t notice that something was coming towards me until I heard twigs snapping nearby. I yelled for it to go away and leave me to my misery, but it kept coming closer towards me. Then a giant hungry looking bear emerged from the trees and started to growl at me, while I just stared at it. I was too tired to try and fight. I was tired of living life alone with no one to live for. So I just let the bear come toward me and maul me to death.

As I started to lose conscientious, I saw a bright sparkling light come towards me. Then I see that it is my beautiful Rosie, looking even more gorgeous than before, now with golden eyes. After such a long time of misery, I started to feel happy. I was happy with the thought of Bella, Edward, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie, and I could finally be together again. So, with my Rosalie here to guide me into eternity, I will happily pass on to the next world, with a smile on my face.
