Lucida: I own the OCs and story-plot. Koji/Hinotemaru is the son of a mistress (dead) of Sesshomaru and Fluffy and Kazemaru is the son of Kagura and Fluffy.
"Hey, Big Brother," the dark-haired youkai child said to the teenaged white and black haired youkai. The older boy looked at the younger with amber eyes surrounded by maroon flames. The two wore a cresent moon on their forheads, the youngers red while the older's was a red-purple.
"What is it, Kazemaru?" The older asked him.
"Uncle Inuyasha and Dad don't get along well, do they?" The older paused, the adjusted himself on his two fluffs.
"You're just realizing that?" He asked. Kazemaru glared at his older brother with his orange eyes.
"No! I just wanted to ask!" He stated. "And you're older! You've known them longer!"
"They use to get along worse," the older said, rubbing his temple for a moment. "When I was your age...Right about when Naraku came along. I can only assume that they've always been like that. I don't know that much about the situation." The teen looked up to see a green-toad imp walking across the garden. "Jaken. Come here." The thing called Jaken spun to look at the two boys.
"Coming, Lord Hinotemaru!" He said, rushing over.
"Jaken, how many times have I told you to call me Koji?" The teen told him, remaining calm.
"But, my lord! You are not second born!1"
"I am from my mother's womb," Koji replied. "Anyway, inform me of the relationship between Inuyasha and Father. Kazemaru and I are both half siblings and wish to comprehend it more. We do not see the logic in such mannerisms."
"Why, Inuyasha is nothing but a spiteful, disgusting half-breed!" Jaken spat. "You both are full-fledged demons! What other reason would be best?!"
"Jaken, how long have you been in service to my father?" Koji asked, ignoring Jaken's tone.
"Many, many years my young Lord," Jaken replied.
"Before or after Inuyasha's birth?" Koji inquired.
"Well-y'see-after," Jaken stuttered.
"So you are not aware of the relationship when they were younger," Koji said. "You are dismissed."
"Yes, my Lord!" Jaken said and scurried away.
"This calls for a visit to someone who's been with Father his entire life," Koji said, rising. "You've...Never been to visit Grandmother, have you?"
"No, I haven't," Kazemaru said.
Koji landed with Kazemaru on his back. The flames that had carried the two brothers there dispersed. Koji looked around the castle calmly and then saw the white haired, beautiful dog demoness. She smiled a coy smile.
"Ah, little Koji," she said. "I see you have brought your brother. Oh, your father just never visits me. After all I've done for him." Kazemaru blinked. The woman surprised him immensely.
"Honorable Grandmother, this is Kazemaru," Koji said, ignoring her comments about their father. He bowed and noticed Kazemaru still stood there. He slightly kicked him and Kazemaru glared at him. "Bow," Koji said in a hushed tone. Kazemaru complied but stuck his tongue out at his brother. Their grandmother smiled, quite amused.
"My, you two remind me of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha when they were boys," she stated.
"Huh?" Kazumaru said, looking at her in shock.
"What do you mean, Honorable Grandmother?" Koji inquired.
"Oh, I assume that it why you came here then? To inquire about their relationship?" She inferred. "I do not feel like telling the story now. It's such a bore, afterall." Koji shot her a glare that could cut a mountain in half. She merely smirked. "Oh so similar to your father, little Koji," she stated.
"Honorable Grandmother, you test my great patience," Koji replied. She smirked playfully.
"I am aware, little Koji," she replied.
"Get to the point, Honorable Grandmother," Koji ordered harshly.
"I recieve no respect from my son or his sons," his granmother replied woefully.
"Honorable Grandmother, please inform my brother and I of Father and Inuyasha's relationship," Koji said, attempting to calm down. Kazemaru looked from one to the other. He had never seen his brother loose his calmness but had heard of it. Their grandmother did not respond, merely smirked teasingly. Kazemaru did not have the same patience as Koji.
"Listen, hag!" He exclaimed. "Answer the question already! We don't have all day to hang here for you to laugh at! Mom and Dad don't even know we're gone!" The demoness blinked and looked at the younger. She was slightly surprised but them smiled, amused yet again.
"Fine then, I'll inform you," she said. She sat down on her thrown and paused momentarily. "Inuyasha's mother was the daughter of a lord who lived in our lands. Your grandfather and I were betrothed from birth and held respect for each other. Love was not needed. But, your granfather met this princess and fell in love, unfortunately. He took her as a mistress and she bore him Inuyasha. Inuyasha always had a temper and Sesshomaru normally scolded him, like you do to Kazemaru, little Koji. Of course, Sesshomaru always thought of himself better than everyone. Especially Inuyasha due to the fact that he's a half-breed. He dealt with it, but when your grandfather died and left him Tenseiga instead of Tessaiga, Sesshomaru's anger and hatred grew far more. That is all I can really tell you. Sesshomaru left many years ago and only sparingly comes to visit me. Oh, the woe of it. He only comes to me when he wants something."
"Well, they seem to have grown some kind of respect for each other, Honorable Grandmother," Koji stated.
"Inuyasha has been able to prove himself to his brother in many ways," their grandmother replied. She looked up at the sky, an amused look on her face. "Oh, look who's come to join our party." Koji and Kazemaru turned to see a great white dog demon flying through the sky towards them. His eyes were blood red, and had a cresent shaped moon on his forehead. When the dog landed, he nearly automatically transformed into a young man with long, silver-white hair and cold amber eyes. He wore a fluff over his shoulder and had on Chinese styled armor. He walked towards the three calmly. He paused at the two boys, giving them harsh glares. A light chuckle came from the woman. Sesshomaru reinstated his glare at her. She gave him an amused smirk.
"What do you expect from fathering children with fire and wind demons?" She asked coyly.
A/N:
1. Koji means happy, second child in some cases. That's what Koji's name means. His mother named him, not Sesshomaru.
