Disclaimer: Me no own X-Men
Ok, so this is something I wanted to write for a while. Don’t know why, but I did.
This is a one-shot ok?

Somewhere deep inside me
I hold a picture of a time long gone…
It’s a day in the life
In my mind I’ve seen it all
Sometime soon for all to see
The walls are slowly breaking down
In my mind I’ve seen it all
And someday we’ll be free
-Sarah McLachlan, Trust

“Do you trust me?” The young teenage mutant known as X-23 asked.
“Trust is a difficult word Laura. You should know of all people.”
They sat down on the green grass that had been darkened by the night fall.
“Yes I know. Growing up in Hydra, you could never trust anyone.” Laura starred into the moonlight lake. “Do you think, I will ever trust again?”
“Yes, I believe you will, but, not without a price.” Before she could ask what he meant, he asked her a question. “Have you ever been in love Laura?”
“Are you implying you’re in love with me?”
“No no. You’re a little to young for me.” He said with a smile. “What I mean is, you cannot love without having trust. Think. Have you ever been in love?”
She just sat there for a while. “No, I don’t think so.”
“Well, when you do fall in love, then you know you can trust. It is a matter of, if they trust you back.”
“Oh. I see.” She smiled at him. “Never thought you of all people would be saying that.”
“ ‘Course not. No one does. But don’t you go and tell them, I’ve gone soft.” She giggled a little. But then her face was serious.
“Have you ever hated someone.”
“Yes.”
“No not just a hate like that. But a hate that is so big, it overcame you and almost drove you to madness? That the one person you hated, was the one you blamed for everything. And when you couldn’t take the fact that they were still living, you gave up.” She paused and looked at him. “I have hated many people in my life. But two of them were the ones that drove me mad. One, was Madame Hydra, or Viper if you prefer.”
“Who was the other?”
“I-I would rather not say. Th-this one caused m-me m-m-more p-pain then anyone; ever.”
“Shhhh.” He said to calm her tears. They stood up. He pulled her into a hug. “Shhhh.” He repeated.
“You never answered my question.” She whispered into his ear. “Do you trust me?”
His response was a simple, “yes.” They just stood there for a couple of seconds before she said…
“Wrong answer.” Skint. Four claws were thrust into his sides, two on each hand.
For some reason, Wolverine’s healing factor did not kick in.
She starred at the now lifeless body on the ground, basking in its own blood. “By the way, that last person…was you.”

Laura woke up in a cold sweat. “Oh my god.” She breathed. Ever since she had come to the mansion, these dreams kept appearing. Always at night, always by a lake, and always the topic of trust was brought up. And every time, she killed Wolverine.
“Why is this happening? Why! I don’t want to kill him, I don’t want to! Right?”
“Wrong! You do want to kill him! You do! He made you suffer! All because of him!” A voice in the back of her head told her.
“No! No I don’t!” She shrieked.
“Yes! Yes you do!”
“Stop! Stop!”
She ran out of the room. Maybe, just maybe, Logan could help her with this problem. Her nose helped her find him within minutes. He was outside, sitting by the lake that was near the mansion.
“Logan?”
“Oh, hey Laura. Why are you up?”
“I-I couldn’t sleep. Bad dream.”
“Oh, um, want to talk about it?” Well, that was the reason why she was here right? But, that voice.
“No! Don’t tell him! Don’t trust him! Kill him! KILL HIM!” It yelled louder then before.
“Logan, can I trust you?”
“Yeah, Laura. Yah can.”
“No! No! No you can’t”
“But, do you trust me?”
He starred at her for a long while. “Yes. I do trust you.”
“KILL HIM! KILL HIM!” The voice was getting to much for her to bear.
“L-Logan. Logan; I’m sorry.” She barely whispered. Skint. She thrust her hand into Logan stomach. And once again, for some reason, his healing factor did not work.
