It was a breathtaking sight-wildflowers everywhere, in ever color you could imagine just scattered across the field. Inuyasha was deep in thought as he watched Kagome sitting out amongst the flowers.
"Doesn't she realize that the most beautiful thing in the field isn't the flowers, but her?" he thought to himself.
Miroku saw Inuyasha staring intently at Kagome and approached him with the usual gleam in his eyes. He actually had a few lecherous thoughts, but squelched them in favor of helping his hanyou friend.
"Why don't you pick her a bouquet of flowers? You know she'll love them." he said quietly.
Inuyasha keh'd the question and leaped into the nearest tree.
"So much for helping him." thought the monk as he went to stand next to Sango.
Later that night as the group sat around the campire Inuyasha appeared with one hand behind his back and a pink-tinged face. He thrust the hand at Kagome and in it was the most beautiful bouquet of wildflowers she had ever seen.
"These are for you." he stammered out.
"They are beautiful, thank you!" Kagome said while eyeing the hanyou.
"But not as beautiful as you." Inuyasha said as he leapt into a tree.
