The world is a horrid place. I have finally escaped the black mail that Magneto was holding against me only to find that my sister, Illyanna, has contracted the Legacy Virus. When I found out that you, Professor Xavier, Mr. McCoy, and that Scottish doctor, Moira McTaggart, were working on a cure, I was hopeful. I knew that you would be the ones to figure it out. Well, I was right. You found a cure. But unfortunally, you need someone to sacrifice themselves for it to work. My sister is on her last stand. I watched Pyro die from it. You watched Lance die from it. Rahne watched Moira die. It was created to eliminate mutants, but ended up getting humans infected to. No, that is not right. We are all humans. It ended up getting non-mutants infected to. My dear Katya, you changed as soon as Lance took his last breath. You changed your clothes, attitude, and went into a life of crime. I saw on the news the things you did. Using your phasing skills, you robbed places that no one else could of. I was sad, Katya. I had hopes that my sister would surrrvive. But with you acting like this, my hope vanished. There were only two people left to work on a cure. Yes, they succeeded, but you, you did not. What did you accomplish with your new life. Taking out your anger, fear, grief, on innocent people? Isn't that what Xavier wanted to prevent. Katya, what has happened? The professor sent me a recent picture of you. I agreed with what I said, you changed. But I still think you are beautiful. I sketched the picture. But I would like you to know, I still love you. And always will. What I am abut to tell you is the reason why I am not in front of you saying this. Katya, I am going to sacrifice my life so that the cure may work. I am tired of people dieing of the Legacy virus. I am tired. Katya, I want you to keep on going with your life. Find someone to love. Change your ways. Stop this life of anger and sadness. Katya, because I love you, I will watch over you when I'm gone. If you love me you will move on with your life. When you get this letter, it means the cure worked.

Kitty screamed as she fell on her bed. "Why! Why did he do that! Now the two people I loved the most are dead!" She cried and cried until she could cry no more. She felt the warm sheets of her bed. She had not slept in a bed for weeks. Everyday she would sleep on the streets. The only reason she was back at the mansion was because the professor had mentally contacted her saying she had a urgent letter. She snuck in through the window just like she used to do with Lance. No one knew she was there. She wanted it to stay that way. She could not bear to see their faces. Not now. Crying even harder then before, she fell asleep.
