One Day…

One day she will see him again.

One day she will.

But for now she’ll have to suffer the pain,

And be fine with being ill.

He loved her with all his heart,

But she thought it was just his charm.

She tore his heart to parts,

And he never did her any harm.

Sure he lied,

But he was just afraid.

And sure he has tried

To throw those memories away.

Why couldn’t she be like that mutant Chrome, the Acolyte?

To save Magneto he risked his life.

To save her loved one late at night,

She threw him in the ice.

And now he’s there to stay,

Oh, why was she so dumb?

She left the man who she thought should pay,

For something he did by accident when he was young.

God how could she be so stupid?

And not see he cared.

Maybe she did not love him? No, she did.

But for him to love her? Would that be fair?

If only he would call her one last time Cherie!

To bad that could never be.

So she cried and cried,

Never stopping to see,

The Queen of Hearts card that just appeared at her side.

Rogue was still thinking about how she and Gambit could never be.
