I'm sure you're probably at your mailbox, staring at the envelope and wondering why on earth anyone from Garden would send you something, but the commissary's out of plain envelopes, and it's raining too hard to go into town. Maybe this letter won't even reach you; you're probably not at the address BG has on file for you anymore, although Selphie says the tracking system's a hundred percent guaranteed.

This is probably stupid, and you're probably not even going to readthis anyway. I just wanted to...say hi, I suppose. Just see how you're doing, after everything. It's been nearly six months, and you've not shown up in the obituaries anywhere, so I guess you're still alive. What are you doing? Are you seeing anyone? Do you still fish? I never understood how someone like you liked fishing so much, but then again, you were always pretty unpredictable. (It's a compliment, I swear.)

Did you know that someone put up a fake online listing for Hyperion? Apparently the auction got up to like...fifty thousand gil before Squall shut it down, and kicked out the cadet who had done it. Don't worry, though. It was all a prank. Some seamstress out in Timber is trying to mass produce that old blue duster that I used to wear all the time. There's a lot of that going around. It'd be flattering, if it weren't kind of creepy.
