A/N: Another try at Drama/Romance for Jeje-chan, though I doubt that it’ll bring good results.

Disclaimer: I don’t own Gakuen Alice.

Warning: Definitely contains ooc and also a bit AUish.

The Sky is Crying

Constant ringing could be heard all throughout the huge room of Natsume Hyuuga.

“Ugh.” He groaned as she grabbed the alarm clock melting it with his ever trusty alice. It was a Saturday and it was raining outside, he deserved to sleep in even just once but he was snapped out of his stupor as he immediately stood up.

Someone was in the room and he knew who that someone was.

“Sleeping in isn’t a good trait, Natsume.” The voice silkily told him.

“Get lost.” Was the reply as he returned to bed but the older man shoved him into the shower telling him to finish as quickly as possible while he stuffed as many clothes as he can into his suitcases.

Natsume sighed.

Probably another job.” He thought as he entered the shower and turning the water on full blast.

He closed his eyes thinking how long he will be gone now. Probably, another month or so with the way things are going, his relationship with Mikan would be ending in the next few days. When he boarded the private car he remembered. He remembered what he completely forgot a while ago and what he will regret for the rest of his life.

---

Mikan Sakura was sitting down under the famous Sakura Tree as she waited for her boyfriend, Natsume Hyuuga to arrive. The fire starter, or so they called him was due on a date with his brunette girlfriend and he was currently running late for three hours. They were suppose to meet there at eight but it was now already twelve and the brunette wasn’t happy about it.

He was probably on another mission last night, causing him to sleep in. She understood but maybe, just maybe he would still come. He would remember she was still waiting for him.

After another hour of waiting the rain came pouring down mercilessly down on their heads as people ran for cover a lone girl with brown hair braved the rain and stayed beneath the tree of which she and her lover agreed to meet.

When another hour had passed, the rain had passed as well, leaving a drenched girl still waiting for the man she loved in her ruined clothes and also a ruined heart.

“Mikan.” A voice called out softly.

---

Natsume Hyuuga only returned to the academy at the time of their graduation which was around two months after his leave from the school. He didn’t know Persona meant what he said about a long term mission.

When he entered his room he noticed a stack of fan mail.

They never grow tired.” Natsume said as he threw the whole stack in the trash can. He needed a shower. Something to get rid of the constant stress he was feeling.

He noticed a note and a few flowers by the foot of his bed. Tulips, the flowers on which he and Mikan had swore their love upon.

It must be from Mikan.” He thought in his head. He read the note attached but what he read were the only words he never expected from her.

I’m sorry Natsume. I’ve waited for you for so long but my feelings for you waned when you left me under the crying sky.

---

Mikan sighed. She just did what she thought was the most difficult in her life. She had just broke everything off with Natsume Hyuuga, her first love. She climbed the roof until she saw that familiar brown hair.

“I told him.” She said faintly as she ran towards him embracing him with all of her strength. She wanted to cry so badly but no tears came.

“Did you tell him?” He asked her.

“No, I didn’t tell him. I wrote him a note.” Mikan said as she sniffed.

He smiled. “You have to talk to him.” He said.

“But…” He placed a finger on her lips to silence her.

“You have to tell him, how you feel and you have to tell him your decision.” He said with a warm smile. “Now, go.” He said.

Mikan couldn’t voice out any arguments as she was pushed out of the rooftop door.

“Are you sure you should’ve done that, Heki?” A blonde-haired boy asked as he appeared behind him.

“It may hurt me but I promised her, I’ll be by her side until the end of time.” He said with a smile.

“What if you lose her?” Ruka asked him.

“Well… At least, it means that both she and the sky have shed their last tears.”

---

Natsume frantically searched for Mikan but she was nowhere to be found but when he went under the very same Sakura tree wherein he left her, unprotected from the rain. He saw her, her brown locks framing her pretty face.

“Natsume.” She said softly.

He nodded. “I love you but it wasn’t meant to be.” He said as he began to take his leave.

“Wait!” She shouted. “I need to… I need to explain myself to you.” She told him as she looked down on the ground with shame.

“I was with someone else while you were gone, his name is Heki Namida but when I was with him I was still in love with you but then, you never came back and you made me cry and I---“ She was cut off as Natsume looked at her with a poker face but she knew he was apologizing.

“Has Heki ever made you cry?” He asked her quietly.

She looked down in shame as she shut her eyes tight. “No. He hasn’t.” Mikan told him.

“Go. I know your decision. I don’t wish to make you cry any further.” Natsume told her.

Heki stood from afar watching their little interaction.

Within a few minutes, Mikan ran towards his loving arms as he comforted her.

“Heki! I want to cry but I can’t!” She tearlessly wailed at him. Heki looked at the figure under the famed Sakura Tree and let out another smile.

“Then, I guess will have to ask the sky to cry for the both of you.” He said as he closed his eyes shielding them from the droplets of water falling from the heavens above as he shielded the young girl from anymore tears that she didn’t deserve.

A/N: I know you’ll kill me after this but I had to get this out of my system otherwise I’d be running around with the idea in my head for tomorrow. I actually wrote this chapter within thirty minutes so please forgive the mistakes.

By the way, I used Tulips since roses seems to stereotypical and red tulips mean declaration of love or whatever.

Heki Namida is an oc with the alice to create rain both his first name and last name means tear.

Please review.
