Hi everyone…Okay so I was bored and I really wanted to finish this next chapter, so…This girl whom Squall met eight years ago, she might seem happy with Squall but they kinda are the same you know silent. Well I’ll let you find out what comes up next.

Last Chapter (The unexpected phone call)

Squall’s POV…

That’s it I’m beat I cant stand all this thinking! I mean…Rinoa deserves to know the truth about the promise…but what if she sees us…Then what do I do…

(Cell phone rings)

I quickly got up and answered it…It didn’t have a registered name so I just answered it thinking that it must have been Quistis with another assignment…but I was surprised to hear it was— “Hello? Is this Squall Leonheart?” That voice…It sounds a bit familiar…It definitely wasn’t Quistis…

“Hello? Hello? Is this Squall Leonheart’s phone?”

I hesitated for awhile but finally replied,

“Yes this is he…” I answered,

“Oh my God! Squall is it really you! How long has it been?”

Oh no…it was her…

“Yes it’s really me, and yeah it’s been quite a long time…”

“Hey, Um…so you met with Yuna and the others today right?”

I didn’t know she knew my number…

“Um, no, I didn’t…I was kinda busy today…”

“I see…Hey um Squall, if you don’t mind I want to meet you again, It has been so long…I just wanted to talk to you…”

Oh shoot! I can’t I don’t have the ring anymore…Uh—

“Yeah sure…”

“Okay in balamb garden then at about 3:00pm tomorrow, so I guess I’ll see you there?”

Oh you’ll see me alright…See me as a jerk who gave the ring you gave me when we were little to Rinoa…

“Yeah, I guess…”

“Okay then…oh wait one more thing…”

“What?”

“Don’t tell anyone about this cause I don’t actually act this way with people…”

“Uh okay sure…”

“Thanks, I’ll see you there”

And with that she hung up…I crawled back into bed thinking why I just agreed to go tomorrow…

What if the others see me? What if I get in trouble and I spend my time in detention because I haven’t been attending my classes or worse What if Rinoa sees me…

Chapter 4-Two hearts different people

(That night, 10pm to be exact)

“Goodnight Rinoa…”

“Night…” was all Rinoa could say, she then went outside the hotel of her friends and walked towards Balamb. It was dark she felt lonely and exhausted, she wanted to sleep, sleep in Squall’s arms.

“Squall why? What have I done to make you so upset…” she thought

She then kept on thinking, she still didn’t find the answers to her questions. She wanted to know so badly, she couldn’t bear to be separated with Squall. Just then a tear fell from her eye, she stopped to wipe it with her finger when she heard someone say…

“What’s wrong…?”

A voice was heard. Rinoa stood still and slowly turned around.

“Who are you and what do you want!” Rinoa demanded. He was wearing a black cloak so Rinoa couldn’t identify who the person was, then he came close to her ear and whispered.

“I am here for you beloved…sorceress…”

She was shocked to hear that someone remembers that she was a sorceress, the only people who knew about it were Squall and the others. She never told anyone, even Tifa and the rest, afraid that everyone would avoid her or worse try to kill her. Sorceress’s were not allowed to roam around freely they were always eliminated like what Squall did to Adel and Ultimicia. And with that he disappeared.

Back with Squall…

“What should I do…. She’ll never forgive me for this…Rinoa! I have to talk to her”

Squall quickly got his cellphone and dialed Rinoa’s number,

“Come on, Come on…”

“Damn it! I need to talk to her now…”

He placed his phone in his pocket as he got a black jacket and ran to out his door, just when he was about to go outside Seifer blocked his way.

“And just where do you think you’re goin’?”

“That is none of you’re business! Now move!”

“I’m not moving out of here—”

“I said GET OUT OF MY WAY!”

Squall shouted and got his Gunblade out, but Seifer blocked it with his gunblade….

“Tsk, tsk, looks like you woke up in the wrong side of the bed today…”

Squall tried to hit him again but this time Seifer threw him on the ground and pointed his gunblade at Squall’s neck.

“…you should learn to control yourself puberty-boy or that temper of yours will get you into trouble”

Seifer then walked back and started to walk to his room. Squall slowly stood up and glared at Seifer.

“Oh and one more thing, do that one more time and I swear you won’t live to see the sunshine ever again”

“Maybe Seifer’s right…I might just say the wrong things to Rinoa…I’ll just call her first thing in the morning”

Meanwhile…

Rinoa came inside her room and jumped into bed. She didn’t feel like talking to anyone so she placed her phone off. It was also weird someone she did not know called her sorceress…

Rinoa’s POV… Who was that guy? And what did he mean by he would be there for me…

Rinoa looked out her window. She saw the most magnificent stars. The same ones she saw with Squall in the SeeD Ball.

Those stars…very many yet far away…

Simple, but very soothing…

Silent and mysterious…

Squall…

You were always like a star to me…

One of the very brightest among all the rest…

But now, I don’t even know what you think about me…

I wish I knew…I wish it were all a dream…

A dream, a dream that would take us into a wonderful place where you and could live happy…

Then Rinoa saw a ring shining near her phone…She reached for it and looked at its symbols…

Squall…you were like a brave lion to me…please…please don’t leave me alone anymore…

She wanted to cry, and she did…she then cried herself to sleep…

Next morning…

“I’ll only ask once, you coming to class puberty-boy!” Seifer yelled outside Squall’s room. Squall came out the room as soon as he finished that statement. He didn’t feel like eating so went strait to class. When he entered his room no one was still there, so he decided to call Rinoa.

There was no answer. He tried again but failed. What’s wrong with her? I can’t believe she’s still ignoring me. He gave up, it was like talking to the wall whenever he flipped his cellphone open. I guess she’s still not talking to me…Just then he heard a familiar voice come in. He turned around to see…

“Squall my man, how long’s it been?”

“Zidane? What are you doing here, I mean how long has it been?”

“Yo, chill…don’t get too excited. And yeah, it’s been a long time…” He blonde kid stated and sat beside Squall.

“So, when did you arrive?” Squall asked, as his mood started to switch.

“We came here yesterday, don’t tell me Rinoa didn’t tell you…” Squall looked down. Zidane noticed and asked, “What’s the matter…?” Squall clenched his fist and said, “We had a fight…”

“Oh, really? Hey, Squall…I’m sorry…I guess I shouldn’t have—” Squall suddenly shot up. “Don’t be silly, it’s no big deal” Squall let out a fake smile but hid his inner feelings, “I mean, don’t worry…it’s all right” Zidane didn’t believe him but didn’t push the matter.

Meanwhile…

Rinoa yawned sleepily as she came out of her room, Quistis on the other hand was eating breakfast and reading a newspaper, while Selphie was still sleeping. For some reason she had fun with Irvine yesterday in some kind of party. She quickly prepared her stuff with some breakfast and left her dorm early.

Only a few were awake this early, it was 6:45am last time she checked. So she knew it was safe and that walking around the campus would be a breeze, since some of the students would be kissing each other in public, she thought of it kinda gross when they sit at one bench and start touching each other. Sometimes Quistis would even have a hard time stopping them. It was a good thing Rinoa woke up early because she didn’t want to see those kinds of students anymore.

When she approached her classroom somebody was in the way. He also was in a cloak this time the cloak was white and that person was a little sorter than that of her first encounter. He slowly approached her.

“You should be careful dear sorceress, you might get hurt…” He spoke to her in monotone.

She was surprised, How many people actually know this secret!. And what did this person mean by ‘I would get hurt?.

“Who are you? How did you and that other guy know I was a sorceress…!” Rinoa asked. The person ignored her question and said, “Stay away from the bloodline, he will kill you…”

Just then they heard footsteps, the person with the clock looked at her again.

“I’ll warn you once again, stay away from the bloodline…”

And after that he disappeared. Rinoa looked confused, why do these things keep happening to her?

Just then Cloud appeared, “Good morning Rinoa…Who were you talking to? I heard voices…” She smiled at him, “Oh really? I didn’t hear anything…I was just…uhh, talking to myself…that’s right!” She lied she couldn’t just tell him, he would think she was ‘lost in her thoughts’.

“You sure Rinoa?” She nodded and gave out a slight smile, “Yes I’m sure…”

“Okay…I guess I’ll see you then?”

Rinoa nodded and waved at Cloud. She was beginning to think something bad was about to happen. First Squall then this! What the hell is happening! Speaking about Squall…I wonder if he’s still mad at me…Rinoa turned her cellphone on to find 9 miss calls waiting to be checked. She twitched and quickly thought of calling him. But what if we’ll get into another fight? I better not…he might still be mad…I..I miss you Squall…

She quickly hurried towards her classroom when…

“Ouch…”

“Hey, watch where you’re going!” Rinoa yelled.

Rinoa looked up to see a senior, with long silver hair. Rinoa was just a junior and she was new so she didn’t know most of the people but Squalls friends. He looked up and slowly got her books that were scattered on the floor then the two-made eye contact.

“I’m sorry let me get that…”

The two hands finally met. Rinoa blushed slightly and stood up. He got up and handed her books to her and started to walk away.

“Wait!” she shouted as he stopped his tracks and looked at her.

“Um…Thank y-you,” she said nervously and bowed in gratitude. When she looked up, he nodded and started to walk to his classroom, which was actually quite near.

Rinoa finally came inside her classroom to find no one there. She sat down and scanned her notes. W-who was that guy? She thought as she shook her head and started to scan her notes.

Suddenly she felt a strange presence. She couldn’t move. Her arms, legs, her entire body were not responding. Then a boy who had silver gray hair entered he was wearing clothes Rinoa’s never seen before. He sat next to her and her body started to move again.

“That’s weird,” she thought.

He got a notebook out it had a weird language Rinoa’s never seen before, she then slowly glanced at the notebook just then he glared at her. “What are you staring at!”

His voice was cold and dark; it scared her so much that she decided to mind her own business. Time flew quickly that her instructor entered the room and started teaching, and before she knew it her class was dismissed. Rinoa got up from her seat and ran outside feeling that her day couldn’t get anymore tiring.

She sighed and walks towards her locker. Just then someone grabbed her.

Meanwhile with Squall…

“Where ya goin’ Squall?” Zidane asked as he notice he was the first person to leave the classroom. Squall turned to see his hyper active friend. “Uh, well…it’s a secret!” Squall said and started to walk towards the lobby.

He checked the clock for the time, which was 2:50pm. Squall sat down on a bench and waited. He tried searching for her but it was hopeless, there were too many students. Just then he heard someone’s voice.

“Boy, you’re early…” Squall turned around to see the person whom he has been searching for. “…Long time no see…Leon”

He looked at her. She’s changed…a lot. He smiled and greeted her. “Yeah long time no see…Paine”

Back with Rinoa…

She screamed when someone grabbed her by the waist tightly. She turned struggled and tried to break free, but couldn’t. “Let go of me you jerk!”

“Oh just shut up you little bitch!” He barked still trying to struggle she broke free and started to run. Oh god now what! Help anyone!

Just then she stopped to find a dead end in front of her. She took a few steps backwards and fell as he advanced towards her. Just when she was finally cornered, someone with a long sharp blade appeared as the person placed his blade on that male student’s neck. “Leave now!” His voice echoed inside Rinoa’s head.

The student tried countering with his dagger when that guy hit him, leaving him there on the ground unconscious. Suddenly the light hit his face, and was surprised to find the person who bumped into her earlier. The senior approached Rinoa extending a helping hand. Though Rinoa was still shaking.

“Are you alright?” He asked as Rinoa took his hand and nodded in relief. He then put his sword back to where it belongs. As he started to walk away.

“Wait, please…” she said and approached him as he turned around. “T-thank you for your help…” Rinoa said as he looked at her.

“You need not thank me…it is but my duty to protect you” He said and looked into her eyes, which were filled with confusion. “What do you mean ‘your duty’?” She asked him, hoping to find an answer.

“You seem to forget Lady Rinoa, that you are the sorceress…whom I vowed to protect” He said, his words shocked her for he knew her true identity.

A/N: Okay…I know this took really, REALLY long to finish but I had to deal with school (and my exams)…So I didn’t have time to update…. plus I had a HUGE Writers block.

Anyway…This is a long chapter (well for me that is…) and you know who that girl is yay! But don’t worry this will be a Squall x Rinoa. I’m really sorry, if this took too long but I promise to update every once and awhile now…. Hope you enjoyed, sorry for the OOC and please don’t flame.
