Love it!

I really enjoyed reading this. I have read things on FFN for several months now, but this was my first foray into LM Montgomery fanfiction, and yours was the first I read, and I couldn't help but read it all in one go! I have loved her books for years, ever since my pre-teens, and the fact that people (such as you) have expended time and effort so that people like I can enjoy stories like this is a real boost to my morale!

Incidentally, I thought your name meant 'Dead Red', which was the name of my first and best loved horse (not dead but red, a chestnut). Don't you just love coincidences?

I will be reading your future fics, though I am of those terrible people who, while enjoying the posts, find very little to say in reviews, and tend not to. But I will be reading, and enjoying. So, keep up the good work!

I'm glad that Anne told all of that to Gilbert. How honored he must feel to know things about Anne that even Marilla didn't know.

Great chapter, and so sad thinking about Anne's hard early childhood.

I loved Gilbert's thoughts to God concerning Matthew. His death still makes me tear up. Every time I watched the movie, I would always hope that somehow, that part would change. LOL.

Interesting using the failure of the bank as the catalyst that caused Matthew's heart attack. And it makes a lot of sense as to why Gilbert couldn't go off to college like planned.

Can't wait to read the rest. So I'm gonna...

So glad that Gilbert told Josie how it is. I never could stand that girl. LOL.

I loved how proud Gilbert was of Anne's performance. And I'm glad that, for a while, he was able to forget his anger over her not keeping her word. I was always bummed that he left before Anne could get away from everybody else and talk to him.

Wow, this is the first "Anne of Green Gables" fanfic I've ever read and I really like it so far. I've loved the movie and the books since I was a kid and I really enjoy your version from Gilbert's POV. I feel so bad for him that one thoughtless comment made him an enemy of Anne's for so long. But I LOVE the way your Gilbert thinks about her and his thoughts when she fell from Moody's kitchen roof.

Terrific writing so far! I'm looking forward to reading the rest.

I rarely give good reviews, but today I read your first chapter of this wonderful story and I really enjoyed it. :)
I love Anne of Green Gables and have read the whole series.
It is so refreshing to see someone stick to canon especially as for this one is written from Gilbert's POV.

Fantastic story. I am truly impressed with your writing. I haven't read any of the Anne books in quite a while, but this fic seemed perfectly capable of slipping into the books without any change in quality or style. I can't wait to read the sequel!

Good story! I love it!

Hi, I just found your story and read it over in parts. It is very good; I enjoyed it. However, I think you should decide whether or not you want to do a book story or a movie story and not mix up the both. It worked ok for this story, since there weren't too many differences in the two. But from this point forward the books and movies diverge so greatly that jumping back and forth will, I think, harm the story.

(I prefer you doing a book story, myself, but it's your story and you can do what you want, of course!)
