omg, i almost cried. the way you wrote this, it was entirely possible to feel Draco's pain. it was absolutely amazing.

that was really cool how it ended good job!

Constructive criticism ahead:

1.) "In one swift motion he slit his wrist vertically—up the veins" - you obviously never cut yourself on purpose with a piece of broken glass. Especially if you want to cut open your veins it takes more than one swift movement, even with a razorblade or knife.

2.) You have Draco cut his arm open with a piece of glass, then suddenly take "the knife" and push it in his heart. Where did that knife come from?

3.) The Buffy quote ("I can lay my body down, he thought, but I can’t find my sweet release.") really put me off. It was so wrong in a way.

Overall a good story but some editing would make it even better.

OMG, WOW! I didn't copy quotes out this time to review it because I couldn't stop reading it long enough to do that. Talk about depressing. LOL But you've done such an awesome job with it. The part where his mother enters the room and he finishes himself off with the knife about had me in tears. (I like Narcissa for some reason so I can picture her walking in to her only son taking his own life.)

Rinoa here! :) I read Sweet Release, like I told you I would, and, also like I said I would, I loved it. The way you analyze Draco's character is once again amazing and it made me think - and your portrait of Lucius is pretty much the way I imagine him to be too. Yes, it was depressive and a little freaky - can you believe I was actually trembling when Draco cut himself?? - but it felt right and true. The ending doesn't ruin it at all, since the main ideas are still there - Draco's relationship with his father and the fact that "scars never disappear". I actually thought the ending was nice, because I'd hate to see Draco actually DIE. ^^;; You found a way to say everything you wanted to say without killing him off, which is good! Very well written too, as usual. Basically, loved it.
