Ooh - I like this one. I like how we see Draco's fear as he's writing the letter. How you keep flashing to what's going on outside the room...and there he is within - in the candlelight - writing his father the letter.

I love how Draco says that he's content with who he really is. This is the Draco that I imagine. That we see him come to terms with the person he wants to be...the person he really is - not the person his father is making him.

The single flame from the candle flickered against his breath, causing the firelight to dance along his plain white walls.
I liked the imagery on this line. I'm a sucker for "flickering candles." (I have one of those in my story, too! *grin*)

Then suddenly the floors in the hallway creaked, and instantly he withdrew his hand.
The suspense in this line is good!

I really love your Draco. You do a great job with him.

And just a question on this last line:
And then he turned, with eyes trained to look ahead, and left.
Does this mean he's living a lie? Not 100% sure if I'm reading that right, but if I am I think that's totally cool.
